National Council for Cement and Building Materials (NCB), is launching a six-month online (25-week) Advanced Concrete Technology (ACT) certification programme, scheduled to commence in the first week of July 2026. The programme has been carefully designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements in the field of concrete technology, with a strong emphasis on practical applications, laboratory exposure, and real-world problem-solving. It will be conducted in a hybrid mode, comprising weekend online classes (approximately 3 hours per week over 24 weeks) followed by a concluding onsite module at NCB Ballabgarh, which will provide hands-on laboratory demonstrations, R&D exposure, and industrial site insights.

The curriculum of the programme is designed within 14 modules, comprehensively covers key aspects such as cement and aggregates (including BIS codes, properties, and testing), concrete mix design (both practical and codal approaches), fresh and hardened concrete testing, durability considerations, water and admixtures, quality control and assurance systems, RMC plant operations, site practices including concreting and curing, and special, advanced, and sustainable concretes. The programme is intended for a wide range of participants including industry professionals (QA/QC engineers, RMC and site engineers), faculty members, researchers, and B.Tech/M.Tech students from civil and allied disciplines. The course fee is Rs. 50,000 plus GST, which includes boarding and lodging during the onsite training, with a 25% discount available for four or more participants from the same organization. The sessions will be delivered by experienced experts from NCB, IITs, and leading industry organizations. Upon successful completion of the programme with the requisite attendance, participants will be awarded a certification from NCB.
