NCB officials had a meeting with Dr D K Aswal, Director, CSIR-NPL, Mr. N. Venkateswaran, Director, NABL and NPL officials at National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi on 12th April 2019 on BNDs. It was decided in the meeting that BNDs developed by National Council for Cement and Building Materials (NCB) in cement and building materials will be the primary certified reference material with NPL traceability. Reference materials developed by other laboratories will have a traceability to BNDs developed by NCB. Mr. N. Venkateswaran, Director, NABL agreed to amend in NABL documents for necessary action for wide acceptation of BNDs among the laboratories. NPL has also communicated to Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) to incorporate BNDs in the standards.
